Utah Medical Products, Inc. Announces Quarterly Dividend

Salt Lake City, Utah - Utah Medical Products, Inc. (Nasdaq: UTMD) announces that its Board of Directors approved a quarterly cash dividend of twenty-three cents ($.23) per share of common stock payable on October 5, 2009 to shareholders of record at the close of business on September 16, 2009. This is a two percent (2%) increase over the dividend declared in the same quarter of the prior year, and the same as the preceding quarterly dividend.

Looking ahead, UTMD expects to pay the following quarterly dividend on December 30, 2009 instead of January 5, 2010, anticipating that 2009 dividends may be taxed at a lower rate than in 2010. The Board of Directors made this exception at the end of 2008, as well.
