Veri-Test™ combines into a small, hand-held enclosure all the devices necessary to verify proper function and accuracy of the BioPharm HP-PRT™ sensor system as well as most other single-use sensors. While the HP-PRT sensors are 100% tested during manufacturing, Veri-Test allows the end-user to verify calibration non-invasively, without accessing the fluid path. Veri-Test incorporates a specially designed pressure cylinder and precision solid-state transducer for generating and measuring static pressure from -6 to +10 psi. The adjustment knob is used to regulate the pressure, and the pressure value is shown on the liquid crystal display. A built-in pneumatic port provides the external connector for stopcocks or pressure fittings.
Verify the Sensor Accuracy
When using the BioPharm HP-PRT sensor with its test port which vents the backside of the sensor to atmosphere, Veri-Test’s unique design allows calibration of the system without accessing the fluid path. Veri-Test can be connected to the cable test port and by applying a vacuum, the accuracy of the system can be verified non-invasively.
Verify the Monitor Accuracy (Simulation Feature)
The Veri-Test’s simulation feature allows the user to simulate the sensor and verify the calibration of the monitor. This is done with a second transducer housed inside the Veri-Test monitor connector. This transducer is pneumatically connected to Veri-Test’s pressure vacuum pump and electrically connected to the monitor through Veri-Test’s monitor connector and a reusable interface cable.
